Stuffed Pork Chops

Extra thick pork chops are stuffed with a tasty bread filling and baked to perfection.
  • 6 center cut pork chops, 1-1/2" thick
  • 6 oz. fresh bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 T. chopped parsley
  • 1 large egg - lightly beaten
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation -
Slice each pork chop horizontally through the meat to form a pocket. Set the chops aside. Combine all the ingredients, except the pork chops in a large bowl and mix together well. Stuff an equal amount of the bread filling mixture into the pocket of each pork chop. Spray a large shallow baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange the stuffed chops in the prepared pan. Cover the pan loosely with aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated oven at 375ยบ for about 50 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil from the pan and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the chops and stuffing are nicely browned.
